Hi, my name is Miguel. I'm an Interaction Designer based in Germany who's enthusiastic about making complexity accessible.
I hold a BA in Interaction Design from the University of Applied Science in Schwäbisch Gmünd. For my thesis, I researched, analyzed, and redesigned a dispatcher's workplace — a domain that we all take advantage of and take for granted.
During my first years at MING Labs in Shanghai, I connected my methodical design thinking approach with visual explorations in mostly conceptional applications. Striving for building concepts and shipping solutions, I moved to Munich, leading the design for a geospatial web-application that enables risk managers to plan with potential risks. At MING Labs, I could find my spot in conceptualizing and designing with data in various fields.
Besides that, I have a big interest in collaborative work, guidance, and people's enablement. Outside of work, I occasionally try to share my knowledge on meetups. These days I find myself reading books about gender bias, equality, and ethical design.
